Dr. Jasmine Mohd

Dr. Jasmine Mohd received her MBBS from the National University of Singapore and obtained post-graduate qualifications in Master of Medicine (O&G) and Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in the UK. Dr Jasmine is currently Vice President in the College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, Singapore and council member in the Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Singapore.

Her last held position in KK Hospital was that of Consultant in the Minimally Invasive Surgery Unit, Consultant Colposcopist in the Gynaecological Cancer Centre, and Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.

Dr Jasmine was Core Faculty for the Singhealth Residency Program for O&G since its inception, the largest residency training program for O&G in Singapore. She remains dedicated to surgical teaching of residents in her role as Visiting Consultant to the Department of Minimally Invasive Surgery in KKH.

Dr Jasmine runs a busy antenatal practice for expectant women and has performed numerous deliveries over the years. She is wholly supportive of breastfeeding efforts, and a natural approach to childbirth, including hypnotherapy techniques, having been certified as a Clinical Hypnotist with the London College of Clinical Hypnosis (LCCH).

Dr Jasmine’s main subspecialty interest is advanced laparoscopy (keyhole surgery) and robotic surgery. She underwent advanced surgical training in robotic gynaecological surgery at the Mayo Clinic Arizona and spearheaded the implementation of the Robotic Surgery Program in KKH.

Dr. Chang Tou Choong

Dr. Chang studied his undergraduate medicine at Guy's Hospital Medical School, University of London. Graduating in 1985, he subsequently worked at various London teaching hospitals (Guys, Lewisham, Hammersmith, Charing Cross, King’s College and University College Hospital London for 8 years. In 1990, he passed his MRCOG (UK) and FRCS (Glasgow) examinations. Between 1991 and 1993, he did obstetric ultrasound research at University College Hospital, London, leading to a Doctorate (MD) thesis on "Serial Ultrasound Assessment of the Growth Restricted Fetus" (University of London).

Dr. Chang has been working in Singapore since 1994 at the KK Women's Hospital from (1994-1998) and in Thomson Medical Centre since 1998. He was made a Consultant, Department of Maternal Fetal Medicine, KK Hospital in 1997. Since 1998, he has been the Head of the Fetal Assessment Unit (Centre for Prenatal Diagnosis and Obstetric Ultrasound) at Thomson Medical Centre. In 2005, Dr Chang was Associate Professor in O and G at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Dr Chang was the President of the College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, Singapore (2007 – 2009).

His subs-specialty is Fetal Maternal Medicine and his interests are in the medical and surgical management of high risk pregnancies and complex obstetrics, ultrasound assessment of the at-risk fetus and invasive prenatal diagnostic procedures. Dr Chang does his obstetric deliveries and surgical operations at Thomson Medical Centre and Mt Elizabeth Novena Hospital.

Dr. Benjamin Tham Wai Lum

Dr. Ben graduated from University of Singapore in 1990. He worked in Alexandra Hospital (AH) and Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) during his housemanship year. He undertook his postgraduate training in the Kandang Kerbau Hospital (KKH), and obtained his specialist degrees in 1997. He subsequently joined the Department of Oncology & Urology and was sent for overseas training with Medical Research Council (MRC), University of Sheffield and Northern General Hospital in UK for pre-invasive / oncologic gynecological conditions and cancer trials.

During his 15 years of practice in KK Hospital, Dr. Ben served as the head of 24 hrs Women's clinic, Deputy Head of the General O&G Unit, Consultant in Gynaecological Cancer unit, Consultant colposcopist for Gynaecologic Cancer Centre and Visiting Consultant to Changi General Hospital.

He had been awarded numerous Service from the Heart awards for exemplary service to patients and won the coveted KKH CEO Heart award in 2009. He also received Excellent Service (EXSA) Gold & STAR Award launched by SPRING Singapore.

Dr Ben has been in private practice for the past five years and attends to deliveries at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Thomson Medical Centre and Mount Alvernia Hospital.
